Goals

1. Increase BOMA’s communication with members and potential members.
2. Establish BOMA as a voice locally for the real estate industry through press releases and contacts.
3. Re-design current BOMA website to increase membership and external awareness of BOMA and its programs.

Government Relations Committee

Chairperson: Jon Aylsworth, Property Tax Consultants

Goals

1. Increase the participation of BOMA members in the political process.
2. Create a comprehensive mechanism to deliver the BOMA message.
3. Identify and communicate public policy issues that are important to BOMA members.

Education Committee

Chairperson: Cal Nagelkirk, Pleune Services

Goals

1. Tap into educational resources through BOMA International.
2. Make recommendations on how BOMA International can be best used for the benefit of the local chapter.
3. Promote continuing education among membership by offering CE classes.

Membership Committee

Chairperson:  Gary Dobre, Cunningham Limp Company

Goals

1. Acquire 25 – 30 new members by September 1st of each year and reach 200 members by October 2007.
2. Provide recommendations to the Board of Directors on methods to recruit and retain members and member companies.
3. Develop strategies that attract building owners.

Fundraising Committee

Goals

1. Increase the annual revenue of BOMA by $50K through fundraising activities.
2. Encourage members to participate in fundraising activities.

Occupancy Report Committee

1. Oversee the preparation and distribution of the annual occupancy report.

Program Committee

Chairperson: Doris Drain, United Bank of Michigan

Goals

1. Line up speakers and sponsors for monthly meetings.
2. Determine mix of presentation topics for monthly meetings.
3. Coordinate location and catering for monthly meetings.
